Branding, an essential part of any business, was the topic at Woodlands WCE’s February 13 Lunch & Learn presented by Valentina Gómez. Gómez, founder of creative branding businesses Bunker +58 and The Brand Initiative, shared her tips on finding the right voice and presence for a business.
She started by giving an overview of what a brand is, what it does, and what it means to a business and its customers. She then moved on to discuss how a business owner can identify the right type of brand to represent the business, and audit its own current brand.
Although she has worked on campaigns for some of the largest brands in the world, such as Pepsi, Splenda, Doritos, and Gatorade to name a few, Gómez now specializes in branding for small businesses. Having owned several small businesses herself, she is committed to bringing the same big agency creativity and strategy to small business owners so they can become the big brands of the future.
The presentation was geared toward small business owners that are interested in a starting point for finding a brand, or even rebranding. Gómez also addressed branding for Multi Level Marketers seeking to stand out when their competition sells the exact same products.
Earlier in the week, Gómez posted a video in the Woodlands WCE Facebook group asking for questions she could answer at the Lunch & Learn. She was able to address those questions as well as additional questions that came up at the conclusion of her presentation.
After questions, there was still plenty of time to mingle and network.
Each attendee received a goodie bag that included a special gift from Gómez: a free 30 minute Brand Audit.
Valentina Gómez also graciously donated a Social Media Facelift as a giveaway item. The lucky winner was thrilled to receive her prize, where she will be able to pick one social media channel to receive a facelift and the Bunker +58 team will prepare a new profile image, new cover image, and 5 graphics for social media posting.
